The underrepresentation of women at this year’s CES was glaring. Because Refinery29 is the most credible resource for all things HER-in-tech, we tapped into our thought leadership position on women and technology to educate and inspire guests on what the future holds.
We produced the Refinery29 Observation Deck, a world in which women’s innovation and power as consumers is celebrated. Our space showcased the abundance of women in the tech industry and products that meet women's needs. We welcomed guests to experience the future: the products, makers, early adopters, trend-setters, speakers, and leaders who will change the world as we know it.
Guests were invited to a suite at the Wynn, which we converted to appear as if they have stepped inside an observation deck in space. Surfaces were treated with visual overlays while imagery and propping were space themed. Refinery29 editorial staff was on hand to meet, greet and give guided tours of the experience.
On the Observation Deck, a curated selection of smart tech products were displayed in alignment with Refinery29's editorial tentpoles, from the latest in wearable fashion to the newest in beauty, finance, wellness and food technology were showcased.
