In honor of the Sony Pictures 'Evil Dead' film premiere at SXSW 2013, we executed a night of Evil, complete with roaming "Deadites", staged scenes inspired by the film, and a presence throughout the Illmore mansion. The "Deadite" street walkers served as a street team during the day to promote the film's release in Downtown Austin. By night, they roamed the Illmore to engage with attendees for a true night of horror. A recreation of the cabin from the film served as a point of entry, while decor throughout the mansion premises were inspired by the film to make for eerie ambience. The evening was filled to the max with influencers, celebrities, performing artists from both Fools Gold and the A$AP Mob, and industry executives and generated mass awareness on social media and through editorial coverage. Sony featured the event recap at their Partner Summit as one of their "top programs of 2013".
